ATOL BondingAll our holidays offer great service and ATOL protection.
What is ATOL and what does it do for me?
Air Travel Organiser’s Licence ("ATOL") protects you from losing your money or being stranded abroad. It does this by carrying out checks on the tour operators and travel organisers it licenses, and requiring them to take part in a financial guarantee scheme managed by the Air Travel Trust (ATT) which provides the funds to protect customers should a firm fail. If a tour operator goes out of business, the Civil Aviation Authority ("CAA") will ensure you do not lose the money you paid over, or if you're abroad, we'll arrange for you to finish your holiday and fly home.
How can I ensure I'm ATOL Protected before I book?
Look for the ATOL logo in advertisements, brochures and websites. On all our advertisements and websites you will clearly see the the ATOL logo in a prominent position. You can check the names of ATOL holders via the ATOL database (www.atol.org.uk). Upon booking with us you will receive a holiday invoice, called an ATOL Confirmation Invoice, that confirms arrangements, the total cost and your ATOL protection. The ATOL Confirmation Invoice is a very important document, as it will ensure you are protected if your holiday company fails. You should keep it safe and take a copy on holiday with you in case you need to claim.
Am I covered if I book on the Internet?
Most ATOL holders have websites and many provide an on-line booking facility that allows you to buy an off the shelf holiday package, build a holiday package from a range of travel and holiday accommodation options or book a flight. When you book on-line with us you will receive an ATOL Confirmation Invoice (by e-mail or post), which includes all the arrangements you’re purchasing, the price you’re paying and information about your ATOL protection.
What documents should I take with me when I go on holiday to ensure I’ll be covered?
You should take the ATOL Confirmation Invoice you received from the ATOL holder. This will confirm your entitlement to ATOL protection should your tour operator fail.
